I know it seems impossible but it just happened.
This recipe is from a book called 'The New Farm" and it tastes sooo good. Im pretty sure even the most stubborn of eaters would enjoy it as much as the 'real thing.'
Melty Nutritional Yeast "Cheese"
1/2 Cup nutritional yeast flakes
1/4 Cup flour (we used corn)
2 Tbs rice flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 Cup water
1/4 Cup oil (we used olive)
1 tsp mustard
Mix the dry ingredients in a pan. Whisk in the water. Cook over medium heat, whisking until it thickens and bubbles.
Cook 30 seconds then remove from heat.
Stir in the oil and the mustard.
As an added extra we stirred in some 'Cheezly' vegan cheese, but you can easily leave this out. (you can buy Cheezly from Pick & Pay or Checkers.)
So simple. So delicious!
